Top 10 Of The Richest African Musicians In 2017 – According To Forbes Africa!!

Forbes Africa has published the list of ten (10) richest African artists of the year 2017 in its May edition.
According to Channel O, a South African music station, these ten singers were selected based on factors such as advertising contracts, brand value, winnings, bookings, popularity and presence on social media.
The list shows that African artists make a lot of money in Africa.
10. Oliver Mtukudzi – Zimbabwe

Oliver (Tuku) Mtukudzi has already recorded 65 albums – more than Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. It is a remarkable career that has lasted for 41 years, with songs that have animated evenings around the world.
9. Sarkodie – Ghana

You can not talk about Ghanaian music without referring to Sarkodie. It literally imposed itself on the music industry in Ghana. Sarkodie has managed to carve a way for no one to reach it. Not only is he incredibly talented, he is also a youth ambassador to Ghana. He created the Sarkodie Foundation to tackle the plight of the homeless and disinherited children in his country.
